And Now For Our Next Trick

Today John and I tore down the panelling in the Front Bedroom, and most of the loose wallpaper.

Here's where we started, with the room empty (what luxury!) and a couple crowbars and a ladder.

With the panelling off:

And when we called off work for the day to move on to other projects:

We're still planning to take the chimney down in the next few months, and put in small gas fireplaces in this room and the Front Parlour for the fall and winter.
