Swatchtastic

I love the stage of a project where you're basically just choosing colours. I know that for most people, painting a bedroom would be 90 percent choosing colours and painting, but as you can see, that is not the case here at Casa Decrepit.

Yesterday I painted a couple swatches of colour on the walls to try out the layering technique that John really wanted.

I really like the yellow, which seems to be a bit oranger than this yellow, but I can't get the colours right without plenty of fiddling and there's no time for that now. But I think John would be unhappy with a room that's just yellow, so last night we tried out the red glaze thing, and this is the effect we chose:

I think it will look really nice, and it seems easy enough to do. Well, easy being a relative term.
