Mysterious Goings on Under the House
Noel is working on a project. While I was out weeding and picking rocks today, he was crawling around under the house making mysterious noises, jotting notes down on a piece of paper.
What is he up to? Finishing some of the electrical work remaining on the basement, including wiring lights for the basement and fixing some of the half-assed wiring that was done to the house in the process. He may work slower than a professional electrician, but his work is impeccable.
The stack of fluorescent lights waiting to be installed:
The stash of stuff he brought back from the hardware store today.
I tried to take a photo of him in action, but there was a big thing in the way so it looks like a photo of him hiding behind a big thing, which is less interesting than it sounds, if possible.
Also, he installed this wonderful, simple release so that when the wind blows the basement hatch shut while we are down there, we can get out. Small things like this give you that warm, fuzzy feeling. It also makes me feel better about him working down there when nobody else is home.
